The curriculum was developed by a group of international educators and space law experts in cooperation with the Directors and Secretary-General of UN regional centers on space and technology education. The Curriculum was developed at the request of the Legal Subcommittee of the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space. The United Nations (UN) Office for Outer Space Affairs (OOSA) has released the Education Curriculum on Space Law, a resource document for the teaching of the international and national legal and regulatory framework applicable to space activities.
